DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)

A DAO, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is a management structure that uses blockchain technology to automate certain aspects of voting and transaction processing.

Community-Led Governance

The Aviator DAO gives our community direct control over project decisions and treasury funds. Think of it as a digital democracy where token holders can vote on important decisions about Aviator's future.

How It Works

1. Voting Power: Your voting power comes from your AVI tokens:

   • The more tokens you hold, the more voting power you have.
   • You must hold tokens to vote on any proposal.
   • Voting is free and only requires your digital signature.

2. Making Decisions: All major treasury spending must be approved by:

   • A simple community vote majority (>50%) passed through the DAO.
   • Approval by Air Traffic Control—our 3 out of 5 required signatures for an on-chain transaction to be executed.

3. Voting Platform: We use Snapshot for all voting:

   • Easy to use: Just connect your wallet and vote
   • Completely free: No transaction fees
   • Transparent: All votes are public and verifiable

Voting Rules

• Major decisions: 7-day voting period
• Minor decisions: 3-day voting period
• Special cases:
  • Changing these rules requires 75% approval
  • Reversing a decision requires 67% approval
  • Safety feature: In emergencies, all five members of Air Traffic Control can stop harmful proposals

Have an idea for improving Aviator? Here's how to propose it:

1. Send your proposal to [email protected]
2. If selected, your idea will be discussed in our Discord community
3. After community discussion, it may be put to a vote
4. All proposals that reach the voting stage earn $50 USD in AVI tokens
