SkyBridge Tokens Over CCIP
This page is under construction! Check back soon for more info.
This page explains how bridged tokens work over Chainlink CCIP in SkyBridge. To learn how they work over Optimism, check out our Optimism token standard.
Overview
Native Token Support
We natively support any token that is registered in the Chainlink CCIP directory, allowing these tokens to move freely between supported networks without any modifications or wrapping.
Wrapped Token Support
For all other tokens not listed in the CCIP directory, SkyBridge automatically creates a wrapped version using the prefix s
. For example, sAVI
or sXYZ
. These are known as SkyBridge-wrapped tokens.
1:1 Peg with Onchain Verification
Every wrapped token maintains a strict 1:1 peg with its underlying asset. This peg is enforced and continuously verified by Chainlink decentralized oracle networks, ensuring trustless parity and consistent value across all supported chains.
SkyBridge ensures that, regardless of token origin or registration status, users experience a unified and secure bridging experience.
