How to Deploy

Introduction​

This guide explains how to make your Ethereum tokens available on Base using SkyBridge. You can deploy any token you own without needing any technical knowledge.

At this time, SkyBridge supports transfers between Ethereum and Base. Support for additional chains is coming in future releases.

Pre-requisites​

Before we start, you will need:

  • A compatible wallet with the tokens you want to deploy
  • About 0.005 ETH to cover deployment costs

How to Deploy: Step-by-Step Process​

You have two ways to deploy your tokens to Base:

Option 1: Through the Deposit Process​

  1. Start a normal deposit (follow our deposit guide)
  2. Select your token
  3. SkyBridge will automatically detect if deployment is needed
  4. The "Deposit" button will change to "Deploy" if needed
  5. Approve the transaction in your wallet

Option 2: Using the Deploy Tab​

  1. Connect your wallet to SkyBridge
  2. Click the "Deploy" tab at the top of the page
  3. Select your token from the dropdown menu
  4. Click the "Deploy" button
  5. Approve the transaction in your wallet

After Deployment​

  • Deployment takes about 5 seconds
  • Once complete, anyone can bridge this token between networks
  • You can proceed with depositing your tokens right away

Cost​

The deployment fee is 0.005 ETH, which covers:

  • Creating the token on Base
  • Setting up all necessary connections
  • Enabling bridging for all users

Troubleshooting​

If you encounter issues during deployment:

  • Ensure you have enough ETH to cover the deployment fee
  • Verify that your wallet is connected to the correct network
  • If you need help, contact our support team on Discord

Remember that you only need to deploy a token once. After deployment, it's available for everyone to use!
